CMIS has a practice of honoring teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day. Every year, the Thai department puts on an event where students of all levels can show their teachers how much they love and appreciate them by giving them flowers and apples as signs of their gratitude, along with a speech of gratitude or a traditional Thai dance. Wai Kru Day, also known as Teacher Appreciation Day, is a day when the bond between students and teachersΒ is recognized. It is important to treat one another with respect and acknowledge the bond that will grow between students and teachers as they work together to learn. It is simply a terrific opportunity for international staff to learn more about Thai tradition and customs.
